As you know, the "PCI Compliance" book is out. Syngress/Elsevier publisher released one chapter from the book for free: and it is my chapter on log management and logging in PCI! Enjoy it here! [PDF] The book (and, in fact my logging chapter!) already got some glowing reviews.
While people still argue whether PCI is simple or overly complex, PCI DSS is certainly motivating a lot of people to take a long hard look at their IT security ... For example, more people are starting to look at database logs as a result of PCI. While some vendors are still lagging behind, you can get your database logs into LogLogic today!
