Logging Glossary: Event

As I mentioned here,  I started publishing the LogLogic Logging Glossary. So, here is the fourth term (first second third):

Event

Why define an event? Isn't it kinda obvious? Well, with time even this term did grow a bit fuzzy in log management circles... so a quick trip to dictionary.com gives us:

1. Something that happens or is regarded as happening; an occurrence, especially one of some importance.

2. The outcome, issue, or result of anything.

A common confusion is in calling a single Windows Event Log entry an "event."
